Long-Term Goals

Picture
The incentive for the construction of a large commercially viable, fully functional theater facility suitable to be accessed by all of the arts organizations of the Sunshine Coast. A facility that would justify the inclusion of the Sunshine Coast into the touring circuits of Canadian and American theatrical presenters. The gradual development of a quality semi-professional ballet group that would enhance our own resident presentations but would also be able to export our products to their communities off the coast, the island and the mainland. It would be a perfect vehicle for developing our own career track artists for a future in the performing arts. The development of a national and internationally recognized summer dance-training program featuring internationally recognized teachers and choreographers. It would be a residency program that would draw students from around the country and abroad. The program would culminate in summer dance festival that would greatly enhance Coastal tourism and be a featured annual event. The opening of a giant discount beer garden for those that just can’t watch another dance performance. Its fame would transcend international borders, patrons would come by land, sea and air to be with fellow ‘I can’t watch it again!’ drinkers, it would feature local brews and busty beer garden maidens that can carry five liter tankards in each hand.
